Lib Tech Attack Banana EC2 BTX Snowboard 2012: The Attack Banana from Lib Tech features Steven Cobb’s EC2 elliptical camber banana combo. Why would you want this? Because it mindlessly rips all terrain and snow conditions in both directions from your centered freestyle stance. The elliptical camber creates a unique pressure map and performance characteristics that are halfway between the original Banana and the aggressive C2 Power Banana geometry that Travis Rice likes so much. This board is the perfect design compromise that will leave you anything but compromised when it comes to all terrain freestyle performance. It’s been 3 years since Shoreline has won this event, its a great event to end the season, may-be next year will be the year the Shoreline’s team takes back the title. Congratulations to Porters for a job well done.  So God willing next year Shoreline will be there to fight for the title.

Snowboard Design Review: C2 BTX

This Blog’s purpose is to explain the features advantages and benefit of the “C2 BTX” design found in many of the boards that Mervin manufacturing makes. C2 technology is banana rocker between the bindings and camber from the inserts to the contact points. This means 2 cambers, one per-foot. C2 BTX designs are easy to initiate into each turn with quick edge to edge response. Both short and long radius turns on the C2 BTX Designs let you power through each turn. The double camber gives you energy while in your turn, Camber engages the snow and gives back a more lively turn. The feature allows the rider to maintain the line he sets his board to do. The advantage is stability at high speeds. The benefit is that you have a single board that can do-it all board for the mountain.
