Check out the view from the bench. This is a great ride. It has some technical sections, but they are easy to walk if you lack the skills to ride. I’m one that lacks the skills to ride these sections so I just hop off my bike and walk for a very short distance. For those of you that don’t understand what a “technical section” means I have a general description below. It generally means tight rocks or very thin lines (areas to pass) where more advanced riding skills are needed. I have to be honest, although I am embarrassed to admit that on my last ride to the bench I didn’t bring enough water and ended up cramping up on the way back. So please make sure you bring plenty of water and it never hurts to pack a trail bar and a PBJ. Make sure you are in decent shape if you are planning to do this ride. The Trailhead begins at the end of Andrea Street (off of North Benjamin) and there is plenty of FREE parking. This ride is about a 14 mile round trip and will take around 3-4 hour depending on what kind of shape you are in and how long you want to stay at the bench. The view out there is awesome so make sure to bring your camera and enjoy the serenity. Stop by Shoreline of Tahoe to get additional information about the ride. You can also pick up a good tahoe trail map, energy bar, and we stock plenty of bike accessories. Be safe out there and ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET!!!
