Burton Ruler Restricted Snowboard Boots 2012: From Burtons Restricted line the Ruler Men’s Snowboard boots is truly one boot to rule them all. New and improved toe box, compfy, and roomey where you need not ride your boot so tight. As soon as you cinch up the speed lacing and take your first flat landing you will know why. The 270 Airbag Cushioning absorbs all impacts while still letting you have great board feel on rail and in powder. For increased support the Ruler features a Power Spine Backstay for better power transfer and extra edge hold. To keep your feet feeling good from first chair to last call the EVA footbed has you covered and keeps your feet planted. Even with all the technology packed into the Ruler, Burton was able to slim it down and reduce unnecessary weight with what Burton calls shrinkage.

See the differance in design, Burton technology, camber, Rocker, Springloaded, Flying V, S Rocker, and EZ Rocker.

Camber
An advocate of powerful turns and poppy precision, camber speaks to the core values of board design. Acting like a suspension, camber creates a lively ride capable of slicing and stomping the entire mountain.

Springloaded

FLYING V

Take flight with V-Rocker’s next evolution. A premium blend of camber and rocker performance, Flying V™ offers the best of both worlds. Rocker overall, including between and outside your feet, enhances playfulness and float through pow. Underneath your feet, subtle camber zones combine with Frostbite Edges, EGD, and The Channel to focus edge-control for crisp snap, adding pop and power through turns

S-Rocker

Speed and float are your friends, and that’s what S-Rocker is all about. Entry rocker extends from the nose to under your front foot, then transitions to camber between your feet. Compressing the camber under your back foot causes the entry rocker to naturally lift the nose, thus improving float while maintaining momentum and stability through deep-driving pow turns and variable conditions.

V-Rocker

Rocker between your feet and in front of your feet towards the tip and tail creates catch-free playfulness and improved float from peak to park. Frostbite Edges enhance power and grip, balancing the board’s overall loose and forgiving feel.

EZ V

Get right to the good times with our NEW EZ V. Catch-free and forgiving, rocker combines with the effortless edge control of a slightly tapered shape for more float, fun and all-around easiness regardless of terrain or condition.

C60 EST
Warp speed is imminent.

In the words of one of our testing monkeys, “these things are Richter, love ‘em.” Pro shreds like Frederik Kalbermatten and Peetu Piirionen agree, given the reactive nature of a carbonated baseplate and hi-back. That power is amplified by the NEW React ankle strap and NEW MegaBED Air, both cushioned just enough to take the thunder from the chunder while giving you more feel, drive, and control than ever before

Features
+ BASEPLATE: Carbon Fiber/Nylon Composite EST
+ HI-BACK: Dual-Component Canted Living Hinge™ Carbon Frame Hi-Back
The ultra-light carbon-blended fuselage joins forces with the spring-like cushioning of the SuperBED™ to dodge and deflect shrapnel with laser precision, while the NEW React ankle strap drops weight and improves wrap for zero lag between mind and mountain.

No matter where your mission takes you.

When we set about developing the Mission® back in 2001 we had one goal: make a binding that could kick ass across the entire mountain. Ten years later and the focus remains the same. The forget-it’s-there fit of an ergonomically canted, super lightweight hi-back joins forces with an indestructible yet playful baseplate. NEW FullBED cushioning and pillowy soft straps seal the deal, keeping you comfortably connected no matter how many runs you rack up per day.

COBRASHARK!
Deal with it.

What’s cool anyways? What does it matter? Snowboarding is pretty cool. So is getting drunk (legally, of course) and making a binding, which is pretty much what we did here. Love it or hate it, a winged hi-back and asym ankle strap are great for spins, butters, and presses—you know, the fun stuff. We also linked up with Jay Howell to do some absurd art for these beasts. “But I want pop colors to accent my zippers!” Not in Tuff Town, deal with it.

With two decades of destruction to its credit, the Freestyle™ proves that price means nothing when it comes to perfection. Picking up where the competition’s so-called “premium” bindings bite the dust, its soft, forgiving flex is a dream in the park and makes stomping new tricks a cinch. Full adjustability makes for a perfect fit, while wall-to-wall EVA padding and the Adaptastrap™ combine for comfort that just won’t quit.

A fully adjustable, oversized strap offers the fit, security, and support you’d expect while a forgiving flex and overall light weight keep you charging from dawn ‘til dusk.
