This is the craziest Shoreline of Tahoe Commercial ever

Wednesday, July 06th, 2011 | Author:

This goes to all the hard working employees at Shoreline. Shoreline really focuses on getting our customers into the best equipment for their style of skiing/riding. This is really a great honor to us because as many of you know, we only just a few years got into the ski retail part of our business. So if you are in Tahoe or planning a trip, stop by and see why we’ve been voted Tahoe Daily Tribune’s Best of Tahoe Ski & Snowboard Shop for 2011.

Meet Lani Pollak, another one of our modest employees who would rather not be filmed, but I followed her anyway for one run.  This is late season park riding at Northstar of Tahoe. As park days went this year, this was one of the better days.
Lani helps manage the Shoreline of Tahoe in the Heavenly Village. She  contributes much of herself  to our facebooking, buying, and shop merchandising.  Lani takes summers off from Shoreline and can be seen leading horseback riders through the mountains here in Tahoe at Camp Richardson Corral.  Thanks for another great winter Lani!

Hey Troops, this is Bob Daly the blogger, Flimer, editor, for Shoreline of Tahoe, and just to prove that I’m not the only crazy person in my Family, watch this clip. This is a video that my older brother Jack wrote, filmed, and played the cameraman in. This short film won first place in the “Z Systems Second Annual Film Festival” in Mpls. Minnesota. Yes he has hair too….

To our surprise, Shoreline of Tahoe as a brand is showing steady growth during these economic flat times. How did we do it?
From what I can tell, that is measurably, is that we have consistently operated with common sense. Not a mindless cheesy cliche that says “the customer is always right” but a focus on fitting the customer to the product that best fits their needs. We think that, the shift from going for the quick sale, to instead listening to our skiers and snowboarders and then offering what gear would best serve their riding / skiing style, has contributed to our growth.

Enough of what I think, here are all 5 comments we found on Google maps, See for yourself why Shoreline continues to grow in a flat economy…

Excellent Customer Service?
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 By Nathan – Jan 10, 2010
Shoreline of Tahoe (Kingsbury Grade-NV207 location) has the lethal combination of having the best selection of snowboards for sale in the entire South Lake Tahoe Region and having the best customer service I’ve ever had at a snowboard shop. I was looking into buying a board and the staff there gave me a very comprehensive rundown on what I should consider. They gave me specific board, binding, and boot recommendations catered to my riding style. The selection of snowboards for sale is fairly wide with a spectrum of different models suited for freestyle or all-mountain use. No other shop in the South Lake Tahoe Region has more selection in my experience, although The Village is a close second. Also, the staff has solid background knowledge about the exact equipment they are selling, with many of them owning the very same models. They also offer steep discounts on outdated/last year’s equipment. Overall, the experienced and friendly nature of the staff  and the good selection of equipment available make Shoreline of Tahoe my #1 recommendation for snowboarding needs in the South Lake Tahoe Region.
Broken ladder repaired instantly??
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 By Robert – Dec 26, 2009
Late in the day at Heavenly, I snapped a ladder on my Flow binding. Went to the shop at Boulder Lodge, but they only deal with Burton. Hopped in the car, drove down Kingsbury Grade, stopped at Shoreline. Talked to Bob. He says, “We have some parts and we should be able to help you. Bring your board in.” Five minutes later the binding was fixed. When I asked how much, Bob said, “Tell you what – just tip my staff.” I did and was back on the slopes in time for two more runs that afternoon. I’d definitely go here again. Friendly, knowledgeable, efficient.
One of the best in Tahoe??
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 By Meg – Dec 16, 2009
These guys are incredibly helpful, stock quality gear (ski and snowboard), and do great repairs. They fixed a core shot quickly so I could ski the next day and even gave me a guarantee because it was a quick repair. I give them my full recommendation for your ski and snowboard needs in South Lake Tahoe.
Awesome Personable Employees??
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 By Aaron – Sep 20, 2009
This shop is truly excellent. I have been a customer at a number of the shops in Nevada, but these guys on Kingsbury have a little bit of everything and are extremely helpful. Going above any beyond, they even suggest trails and things to check out in the area that really help to develop a personal relationship. Great shop.
Great Service and Reasonable Prices??
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 By CJ – Dec 28, 2008
Shoreline’s Nevada shop is the best place to go for gear. The staff were great and dialed in the bindings I needed, at the price I wanted. They have a good discount on last year’s stuff and all the new gear was stocked. Other shops in south lake break the bank and don’t have everything you want. These guys were reasonable and helpful. If you have a question about snowboards, ask for Kevin. The guy seems to know everything and goes out of his way to help. A ++++

Wow. What a holiday season at Tahoe. We were very busy, equipping everyone to enjoy their days on the mountain. The blog has sat unattended for over a week, because the real world was going off. That is one of the aspects of the cyber world that I’ve come to realize is hard to maintain. To me I leave in the real tangible world, and then report to the cyber world what’s going on here at Shoreline of Tahoe, at the end of a hard real world day where you seek peace, and space to forget the cares of the day, the last thing your able to do is create blogs that are worth reading. So when living the good life, if the snow is falling, the turns, jumps, and parties are happening, enjoy the moment.
