I find this time of year most enjoyable, as we wait for snow, you can see some of the best local skaters, having a good time at the park. On this day the shoreline camera’s caught Matt Lynch’s world famous posse trying to out kick flip each other. What I like best about this posse, is the lack of attitude, Some skaters, are out to prove something, this gang just wanted to have fun, and it shows. So kick back and enjoy some of the final days of skating while we wait for the big snows to Tahoe to come. The crazy music is from the 70’s, it the classic “Hocus Pocus” by Focus…Awh yes, driving guitar, rowdy drum solo and yotoling, now that’s Rock and Roll

Matt and the gang from Line skis always put on a great end of season called “The Ski shop Battles” The northern California and Nevada ski and snowboard shop battle over who has the best team riders. Shoreline of Tahoe Team rider Rose Marie Daiek will defend her Kirkwood North Face Masters of Snowboarding Title this weekend Friday & Saturday February 26 – 27th. The Master’s Series measures a riders freeriding talents by placing them up against anything the mountain has to throw at them. Cliffs, chutes, crud, ice, pow, rocks, and steeps; A master rider needs to ride it all in control and with style. Rose has come a long way, from early roots camping out in Kirkwood to ruling anything she sets her sights on. Always quick to flash a big smile as she flies past you to that next powder line.

Hannah Teter is a great example of someone who gives back, I really admire those who take what Jesus said to heart and truly loves their neighbor, Congratulations on your silver medal but an even bigger congrats on being so loving to the Children in Kenya.
