I had another great day at this event. My filming was less than perfect as I am missing a piece of my steady cam so all the follow cam shots were shaky. The lighting was flat, then it began to snow….but we still had a great time. Check out the highlights, support the sponsors, and tell them to join us next year!

Elijah is the middle child in possibly the most accomplished snowboarding family of all time. His older brother Abe and younger sister Hannah are also top riders. A member of the 2005 U.S. Snowboard B Team and an unabating competitor, Elijah competed in more major halfpipe events through the ‘04 season than any other WX’05 SuperPipe competitor, including all 3 VTCs and all 3 U.S. Grand Prixs. He finished the ‘03 season ranked 4th in the world for halfpipe by the WSF, as well as 5th overall in the Vans Triple Crown and 2nd overall in the Grand Prix series. He kept a modest profile through the 2006-2007 season following a serious accident in November of 2005, but says that he spent the last year getting his head and riding confidence back. But don’t worry about Elijah, his unwavering sense of competition will keep him among the best of the best for years to come…….I think Elijah’s Dad was standing next to me when I filmed this

Learn How to Grip Tape Your Skateboard in Two Minutes Flat
WHO?
Anyone who’s got a skateboard deck that needs grip tape.

WHAT?
Get your grip tape on your deck.

WHEN?
When you buy a new skateboard deck or when your grip tape won’t grip your shoes any more.

WHERE?
ANYWHERE!

WHY?
So your feet don’t slide off your skateboard!

HOW?

1. Get your kit together:
Skateboard deck
Grip tape
File
Razor blade

2. Make sure to take the plastic off of your deck if it’s brand new.

3. Remove the backing from the grip tape.

4. Lay the grip tape over the deck.

5. Starting at the center of the deck and working outward toward the nose, tail, and edges, press the grip tape onto the deck.

6. Take the file and file around the edge of the deck on top of the grip tape, making sure the grip tape is fully adhered to the deck all the way around.

7. Insert the razor blade up from the bottom of the grip tape along the line you’ve just filed, holding it at about a 45 degree angle from the top of the deck. Cut around the deck to remove all the excess grip tape.

8. Take the excess tape and use it to sand down any imperfections in the cutting.

This event helps get out the message to buckle up. So join us march 21st for an event that is a rockin good time, with a purpose.
